Growing up in Minnesota, we spent as much time outside as possible — in every season and kind of weather. Long days in the sun, rain on our faces, the sound of leaves moving through the trees, and the stillness of snowy pine forests shaped how we understood rest, play, and connection.

As adults, we noticed how easy it is to drift indoors — toward screens, schedules, and busy routines — and how rare it can feel to truly move your body, breathe deeply, and reset. Cuyuna Cove was created as an answer to that.

Built on the edge of the historic mining town of Crosby, Minnesota, Cuyuna Cove came to life through years of hands-on work, problem-solving, and determination. We welcomed our first guests in July 2020, and from the beginning, the vision was clear: a place that makes it easy to get outside, try something new, and return feeling grounded.

Our location connects directly to the globally ranked Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area, offering over 70 miles of world-class singletrack mountain bike trails, a scenic paved trail that winds through the landscape, additional gravel routes, and clear mining lakes perfect for paddling. Trails begin right from the property, while town — with its restaurants, coffee shops, and small-town energy — is just minutes away.

Cuyuna Cove is designed for couples reconnecting, solo travelers seeking clarity, and anyone craving a slower, more intentional rhythm. Days might be spent riding red dirt trails, walking the paved path, or exploring the lakes. Evenings often settle into sauna sessions, grilling, firelight, and deep rest.
